Dear Future Alaskan Adventurers
If you’re reading this while sipping something warm and plotting the RV trip of a lifetime, excellent news: you’re already halfway to Alaska. The other half is mostly thermals.
Quick reality check from today in Chitina, AK: We’re currently enjoying temperatures around minus 40 (yes, that minus is intentional). A picture taken today proves it—no Photoshop, just committed frostbite vibes on the camera lens. But before you start canceling your sunscreen order, we promise: it will be warmer when you arrive. Much warmer. Think “definitely wear shorts sometimes” warmer. Probably.
Reservations for the 2026 season open January 1, 2026. Plan accordingly—bring snacks, a good playlist, and a strong finger for that “Book Now” button.
A few important details:
We operate two separate properties:
Full hookups: water, sewer, and electricity for folks who like all the perks.
Electric-only hookups: Access to water fill/dump station is included
Which property fits you? If you like convenience and fewer bucket-brigade trips, pick full hookups. If you like to say “we rough it” while still having heated floors, electric-only is a charming compromise.

Packing tip (from experience): bring layers, a sense of humor, and a camera that can handle dramatic Alaska light and minor camera-sputter in extreme cold.
